Debbie Mercier, the owner of Greenwood Herbals, has over 18 years experience. She has managed and successfuly grown her business and school for nearly two decades. Her skills include facial diagnostics, pulse reading, health assessments and protocol building.
She has studied under many notable herbalists over the years, including Matthew Wood and Rosemary Gladstar. Debbie is a clinical herbalist and sees clients both on and off-site. She has helped empower many people in making better life choices and manage their own health through support, guidance and resources.

Debbie offers two yearly educational apprenticeship programs at Greenwood, including an introduction and advanced program for those looking to move forward with a career in herbalism. In 2018 her plans include further education in Homeopathy, working on a draft of her herbal book, as well as developing a third year program.

There's nothing our handy hero Carrie cannot do! From running irrigation to designing of the functional spaces she's our main fix-it gal. We definitely could not function without her.
In 2017 she worked on many projects including schoolhouse improvements, drying shed design, building additional production beds and a installation of a shop heating system.

Amy Beth has been farming and gardening most of her life. She began incorporating herbs in to her educational profile approximately 7 years ago. She has studied under Various instructors including Debbie Mercier's Beginner and Clinical Apprenticeship, Margi Flint, Wendy Fogg's Misty Meadows Clinical Program and Matthew Wood.
Amy Beth is the owner of Down to Earth Botanicals, as well as her small farm Stellar Meadows. When she began interning at GWH she initially started as a gardener and has since progressed to help assist in the daily management of the school and business.
Carla Roppolo-Simard- Intern, Herbalist, Lead Garden Fairy and Shop Gal
Carla is GWH's lead garden mentor, as well as helping keep us running smoothly by filling in wherever needed. She is an avid gardener and off-grid homesteader. Carla is the owner of Bear Clan Medicinals. She graduated from both of Debbie Merciers herbal apprenticeships, as well as studying under Matthew Wood. She is well versed in nutrition, herbalism and plant propagation.
If you pop-by on a sunny summers day you may catch a glimpse of her dancing and frolicking in the garden beds, harvesting the herbs that we process for use in our herbal preparations.
